Permitpedia is written by contractors, calculated from public city records, and in places drafted by AI. It is not written or approved by any city or government agency. It may be out of date or wrong. Always confirm fees, requirements and procedures with the jurisdiction before you file or start work. You are responsible for the permits you pull and the work you do.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is, without any promise that it is accurate, complete or available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from relying on it, including rejected applications, fees, delays or penalties.
Your account
Give accurate company information and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Anyone you invite to your company can see your company's private steps.
What you post
- Public steps: when you add or edit a public step, you let Permitpedia show it, and let other contractors read, copy and build on it, including after you leave. Write only what is true and what you are allowed to share.
- Private steps: your company's private steps stay yours. We store them to run the service and show them only to your company.
- Do not post anyone's personal information, logins or payment details, anything unlawful, or anything written to mislead. Name departments and published phone numbers, not individual staff.
Keeping the record honest
We may edit, hide or remove content that breaks these terms or looks wrong, and suspend accounts that abuse the site. Changes to steps other companies wrote go through the review described on the About page.
Price
Reading is free. Company tools are free during early access. If we introduce a charge, we will give at least 30 days' notice, and nothing you have already saved will be locked away.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you on the site or by email before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Arizona.
